We offer three licences for our digital products: Personal, Commercial and Resell. Commissioned builds for organisations have their own licence, set out at the end of this page. In every case the copyright stays with Avis J. Williams and StartBuildLaunch.
Personal licence
✔️ Use our website templates, business kits, courses, ebooks and other digital products for your own projects.
- ✖️ Do not share, copy or distribute the files, including with friends or family. A personal licence covers one person.
- ✖️ Do not resell, transfer or distribute our templates or WordPress themes.
- ✖️ Do not use our templates or themes for client work. That needs a Commercial licence.
- ✖️ Do not claim our products or designs as your own, even if you change the photos or fonts.
Commercial licence
- ✔️ Use our website templates for client projects. You can customise them and remove the footer credit.
- ✔️ Use our course materials, kits and ebooks in workshops, group coaching or one-to-one sessions with your clients.
- ✖️ Do not resell, transfer or redistribute our products outside your services to clients.
- ✖️ Do not claim ownership of our products or designs.
Resell licence (an upgrade to the Commercial licence)
- ✔️ Resell our website templates, business kits and ebooks to your clients, on their own or bundled with your services, at a price you choose.
- ✔️ Remove the footer credit from templates you resell.
- ✖️ Do not sell our products in bulk or through marketplaces unrelated to your own coaching or services.
- ✖️ Do not alter our products in a way that misrepresents the original design, or present them as your own creation.
Support and updates
- Technical support is included for 6 months from purchase. It does not include customisation.
- Products keep working after support ends, and you receive updates for the lifetime of the product.
- We are not responsible for conflicts caused by updates to WordPress, Kadence or third-party plugins.
Commissioned builds for organisations
When we build a platform, tool or website for your organisation, the proposal or agreement for that project sets out the licence. Unless it says otherwise:
- ✔️ Once the amounts due are paid, your organisation receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to operate and use the platform for its own purposes.
- ✔️ You can appoint another developer to maintain or support your platform, subject to confidentiality and this licence.
- ✔️ Your data, content and brand remain yours.
- ✖️ Do not resell, white-label, sublicense or deploy the platform for another organisation without our written permission.
- We keep ownership of our pre-existing code, components, tools and know-how. Handing over source code, accounts or a project is not a transfer of intellectual property; full ownership can be agreed separately in writing.
